Aaron Sawyer is a lens-based media artist whose independent practice specializes in photography. He is currently based in North Philadelphia. As a member of the “Supa Future Studio” Collective, Sawyer is involved in the continuous documentation through photography and video of the open mic events, artist talks and film screenings.

Aaron is a photographer and videographer studying at the Community College of Philadelphia. Hailing from North Carolina and Philadelphia, Aaron took on the role of documentarian for Kwasi Ohene-Ayeh’s Relational Strategies project. Aaron has photographed and created video of every open mic and his work is featured in the final installation.
