Last Sunday we welcomed over 100 neighbors to the Home Court exhibit. The exhibit features photos by Shawn Theodore, original music composed by Ill Doots and Mike McDermott from community sounds and interviews, a community museum for neighbors to share photos and artifacts from the courts, and a “work room” with a timeline and interactive wall for community stories.

Neighbors shared very specific ideas for court improvements (more lights at night!) and brought in trophies, t-shirts, and photos from the past to include in the community museum.

The exhibit will be open only to community members for 5 weeks. We will host visioning and power mapping workshops, community songwriting classes, and meetings and incorporate these ideas and voices into the exhibit itself.

The exhibit opens on June 28 to the public. Keep your eyes open for upcoming events in the space.
